Privacy Policy

Overview

SPEC ("we," "our," or "us") builds tools for interior designers, including the SPEC mobile app. This policy explains what information SPEC collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. SPEC is a professional tool built for interior designers and design firms — it is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Information we collect

SPEC is designed to do its core job — calculators, checklists, and reference guides — without requiring an account or collecting personal information. Specifically:

• Information you enter: measurements, sidemarks, and project details you type into a calculator or checklist are used only to perform that calculation and are stored on your device.
• Diagnostic information: standard crash and performance data collected automatically by Apple and Google's platforms to help us fix bugs. This does not include the project details you enter.
• Support communications: if you email us for help, we keep that correspondence to respond to you.

SPEC does not currently require account creation, does not run advertising, and does not sell personal information.

How we use information

• To provide and maintain the app's core features
• To diagnose and fix technical issues
• To respond to support requests
• To understand, in aggregate, how SPEC is used so we can improve it

Sharing

We do not sell your information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate SPEC (for example, app analytics or crash-reporting infrastructure), and only as needed for them to perform that service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

Project data you enter into SPEC's calculators and checklists is stored locally on your device and is not retained by us unless you choose to share it with us directly (for example, in a support request).

Your choices

You can delete SPEC from your device at any time, which removes locally stored project data. You can contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you or to request it be deleted.

Changes to this policy

If SPEC's data practices change — for example, if we introduce user accounts or a paid subscription — we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
